Summer Escape is a "walking road movie" about two grown-up siblings. After an argument with their father and stepmother, the sisters decide to run away from their summer house, inspired by nostalgia for their childhood pranks. As they walk along they end up solving the problems of their new family circumstances and their relationship with one another.

During the trip they get lost several times and never reach their destination. Instead they find something else-confirmation of a much more important fact: your sister is always someone you can rely on.
